QLD Updates

Hello QLD Family!

As we wrap up an incredible year, we’ve got some fantastic updates that are sure to make your day! From welcoming new trainees to celebrating achievements, there's so much to be proud of. Here’s what’s been happening:

Welcome Our New Trainees!
We’re thrilled to introduce the newest members of our SEQ team! Please join us in welcoming:

  • Mason at Cotton Tree
  • Isla at Buderim
  • Lara at Beerwah
  • Imogen at Coolum

These fresh faces are eager to dive in and make their mark in the SEQ community. But that’s not all! We’ve got more exciting additions coming in February 2025, as additional trainees will join the team, completing our next generation of talent!

A Huge Congratulations to Harry Campbell
A special shout-out goes to Harry Campbell from Coolum Aquatic Centre, who has just completed his traineeship in an impressive 12 months! Harry has shown incredible dedication, and we’re proud to announce that he’s continuing with BlueFit in a casual role while training to become a Duty Manager. Well done, Harry, and best of luck on this exciting next chapter!

Saying Goodbye to Rockhampton & Gladstone
It’s always bittersweet to say goodbye, and this year, we’ve had to bid farewell to our facilities in Rockhampton and Gladstone. While we’re sad to leave these sites behind, we’re proud to have given our trainees there the opportunity to complete their Cert III. A huge congratulations to:

  • Jacob Petersen
  • Phoenix Nuggins
  • Neassa O’Reilly
  • Taj Dunn

We wish you all the very best in your future endeavours and know you’ll achieve great things!

And the LEA QLD Trainee of the Year Award Goes to…
The moment we’ve all been waiting for! At this year’s SEQ Christmas Party, the winner of the prestigious LEA QLD Trainee of the Year Award was announced… Drum roll, please…

It’s Hannah Vidler from Palmwoods Aquatic Centre!

Hannah’s dedication, hard work, and constant positive attitude have made her a standout trainee this year. Always with a smile on her face, Hannah embodies the spirit of excellence, and we couldn’t be prouder of her achievement!

Congratulations to Hannah Vidler for being awarded the QLD Trainee of the Year for 2024!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

As we head into the holiday season, we want to thank each and every one of you for your passion, commitment, and contributions to QLD. We’re excited for what’s to come in 2025, and we can’t wait to see all the amazing things our trainees and team will accomplish next year.

Wishing you all a wonderful and festive season ahead!
