Our NSW Team is expanding!
It's been an exciting and productive few months for us here in New South Wales! Our trainees have been putting in an outstanding effort, working extremely hard to meet all workplace competencies, obtain their Certificate III and reach 760 working hours.
A huge congratulations to all our Year 12 trainees who have recently completed their HSC exams. What an incredible accomplishment! We’re also thrilled to share that New South Wales has seen an exceptionally high number of early completions this year. Our team has been blown away with your exceptional commitment and dedication. Well done to each and every one of you!
Exciting times as our NSW team is growing. We're thrilled to welcome 65 new SBATS to the team. This is an incredible cohort, who are already making their mark across our 11 sites. These SBATS have hit the ground running, jumping straight into water training in Learn to Swim, Pool Lifeguard, Sports Coaching, Customer Service, Slide, Kiosk and Cafe. What an exciting time ahead, LEA are excited to see your success and accomplishments over the next two years.
Our 22 new South Sydney Trainees from Sans Souci, Bankstown, Casula, Prospect & Hurstville have blown us away with their hard work at their Sign Up, Courses & Work Readiness Workshops!

NSW Trainee of the Year
I’m beyond thrilled to announce our NSW Trainee of the Year is. Angus Trickey from Lane Cove Aquatic and Leisure Centre!
Where to start! Over the past two years Angus has truly embraced and embodied his traineeship journey through his perseverance, hard work, initiative, dedication and so much more. Since Angus’s interview in 2022, he has come a long way and truly represented the key values of LEA.
Angus faced multiple challenges along the way, but where others gave up he has continued to excel by applying feedback and always striving to be better. His passion and drive for Lifesaving and Water Safety has not gone unnoticed and has been reflected in his early completion with his working hours.
Congratulations Angus, very well deserved!
