NSW Updates

What an incredible year 2022 has been. The NSW team has been able to witness amazing achievements by all our year 11’s and 12’s, between state awards and new trainee transitions, it’s been an incredible 12 months.

We’ve welcomed an incredible 41 new trainees across all our New South Wales sites, which has been absolutely fantastic!

Over the holidays all our trainees have been going through their site inductions and department training, with the majority of our trainees already on permanent shifts! 

On another fantastic note our year 12’s have been working extremely hard over the holidays with a special shout out to Patrick Williamson and Olivia Cox who have completed their 760 hours just outside of  their first year. A massive congratulations guys, this is an amazing achievement!

It’s been a busy period across the state with the School Holidays, the Christmas break and Summer heat waves. To never compromise safety, each site provided extensive CPR, First Aid and Pool Lifeguard training. During this training our trainees performed CPR drills, 

AWARDS UPDATE

We’ve had an absolutely incredible awards season in 2022, with two of our star trainees being nominated for the trainee of the year award at the NSW training services awards for the central and Northern. Congratulations to Olivia Townsend and William Osborne for all your hard work and dedication in being the 2022 finalists. 

A big congratulations to William Osborne, 2021 trainee from Mosman Swim School, for winning the LEA NSW Trainee Of The Year 2022. Will has recently completed his traineeship and has proven himself to be a well deserving recipient of this award. For the past two years Will has continued to go above and beyond with his work and training. As a trainee Will reveals tremendous qualities we strive for and has been so delightful to work with. His hard work and dedication has paid off and he has excelled across all departments at Mosman, Will is trained as a Pool Lifeguard, Swim School Instructor, Squad Coach, Customer Service Officer, Pool Deck Coordinator and Duty Manager. Will has always been a reliable and impressive trainee, he has so much potential and we are so excited to see what his next journey is. Well done and congratulations Will!
