WA Updates

Term 2 2022 has been all about resilience and time management for our trainees. Covid has only recently been throughout Western Australia and our trainees have shown great commitment to their traineeships all while dealing with isolation periods and overcoming the virus itself! A big well done to you all on navigating a tricky term, you have made Ella and me very proud.

NMTAFE – Tafe sessions & Lecturer Update

Sam from NMTAFE visited during the April school holidays and spent the morning with the trainees covering WHS and Maintenance units as well as introducing the upcoming units of Business Technology, Social Media & Work professionally. Great work to the trainees who attended as they worked proactively to utilise their time with Sam.

We are looking forward to the next Tafe session in July with the date to be confirmed. Ella and I would like to pass along our best wishes to Sam from NMTAFE who has been the trainee’s lecturer since the first cohort in 2020. Sam is moving to another role with NMTAFE which is an exciting opportunity for her and we want to thank you for all your help and support with the LEA trainees over the past years.

Dec & Trent will be taking over supporting the trainees as lecturers for NMTAFE and we are excited to be working with them both and looking forward to continuing to provide a great environment for our trainees’ learning.

Congratulations

A big congratulations to our remaining 2021 cohort trainees – Bella Walter (centre of photo), Sophia Pitaro, Edie Gabrielson (left of photo) & Desiree Baxter (right of photo) on your successful completion over the past few months. You all have managed your traineeship completion alongside important sporting commitment and your final year of school and we are very proud of how you have carried yourself and how far you have come since the beginning of your traineeship.  All the best for the remainder of year 12 and don’t forget our LEA door will always be open for you!

Personally, it’s been lovely being back in WA after being on the east coast for the past few months. It’s been great to receive so much positive feedback on how the trainees have been progressing throughout the workplace while I was away. Since being back it’s been great seeing you around the centre and being able to say “Hi” in person and focus on your performance reviews has been very rewarding for all to see the progression in 6 months. Keep up the amazing work and positive vibes!
