The LEA Team

There is quite a bit of movement within the LEA Team.

Firstly, a big welcome to Ella McMillan who will be working with our trainees in WA! Ella has worked at Belmont Oasis as an umpire and receptionist for just under a year and in that time Ella has supported and trained multiple trainees in the reception/cafe department. Ella has a strong passion and focus on the Sport and Rec industry, studying a Bachelor of Exercise & Sport Science, majoring in Health promotion and plans to study further towards being a Physiotherapist. Ella loves playing AFL and Netball and also works for the Perth Demons as a Sport Trainer!

We would also like to officially welcome Maree-Rose Braketselos to our NSW team. Rose will be looking after our year 11 trainees at Bexley. Maree-Rose was a trainee herself in 2017-2018 so her experience from her traineeship makes her the perfect mentor for our current trainees. Maree-Rose is currently in her third year of university, studying a Bachelor of Psychology.

We would like to welcome Deonie Papapostolou back to our team, she has now completed her final prac, which means she has just completed her teaching degree! Congratulations Deonie. Best of luck to Jemma Malik who will be completing her final placement for her social work degree!

We would like to announce that Anna Pirie will be the Interim General Manager for the remainder of 2021. We know her many years experience in not only running a wonderful traineeship program in QLD, but also her skills and knowledge of facility and swim school management will allow her to lead the team successfully.

Similarly, we have 2 State management changes. We are excited to welcome Laylaa Martin into the NSW Traineeship Manager role for the remainder of the year, especially considering she was a trainee herself 7 years ago! We also wish Laura Mackie all the best as she welcomes South Australia into her consulting role.

And finally, we would like to give a big big send off to two members of the LEA team who will be going on maternity leave for the rest of the year. Sending lots of love to Shavaun Hunt, our NSW Traineeship Manager and to our Big boss, Evette Charalambous.

We wish you both all the best with the arrival of your first born babies! We are all excited to see you all with your bubbas
