Western Australia Trainee Update
Our WA team are staying busy and working hard! Learn more about their adventures below.
I would like to extend a massive congratulations to this year’s nominees for the WA Training Awards: James Polinelli, Ethan Howard, Ruby Seddon, Emily Everett, and Hamish Maude.
Our semi-finalists for the awards this year are Ruby Seddon and Emily Everett. I wish both girls all the very best with the next step of the process!
We have had great success at these awards over the past couple of years and I would like to wish these trainees the best of luck with their nominations. We are already so proud of you, well done!
2024 Completions and Hours
As we head into the cooler months and there is a changeover to winter sports, it is really important that all trainees are still working an average of 8 hours per week. If this is not happening, trainees are at risk of not completing their traineeship. Please reach out to department managers and make use of the upcoming school holidays if hours are on the lower end.
All WA trainees are actively working towards their TAFE theory submissions and are aware that they need to submit everything before the school year finishes.
2025 Recruitment
Recruitment season is definitely underway for 2025, and it has been amazing to attend so many Careers Expos already. It has been a pleasure meeting some of the new potential trainees and networking with other schools and organisations!
A big shoutout to previous trainees, Desiree Baxter and Rob Nicolosi, for assisting with all of the expos so far!
