WA UPDATES
Hi everyone! I’m Louise and I’m excited to introduce myself as I step into the WA LEA role, taking over from the amazing Ella. She’s left some big shoes to fill, but I’m thrilled to carry the torch and continue supporting our incredible trainees in Western Australia.
I come from a BlueFit background, where I’ve spent the past four years immersed in the world of leisure and community. Outside of work, I’m a big netball fanatic and dedicate a lot of time to coaching, which has given me a strong passion for mentoring young people and helping them develop both on and off the court. I’m looking forward to bringing that same energy and experience to my work here at LEA.
WA Training Award Nominations
We recently had two fantastic nominations for the WA Training Awards, a huge congratulations to Leonard Golding (Rossmoyne SHS) and Kailee Hughes (St Norbert)! It’s no small task putting together a nomination, and both of them showed incredible dedication.
I am so excited to see how our trainees progress with this nomination so that they receive the recognition they deserve.
Every week LEA receives good feedback about Kailee and the way she approaches challenges and work given. She is a dedicated team player who is committed, hard working and even arrives an hour early to her shift to complete her CERT III work!

Trainee Spotlight: Leonard Golding
Lenny recently represented WA in 18s baseball through School Sport WA which was held in Perth between the 27th April – 3rd May. Not only is this an outstanding achievement on its own, but his team came away with silver! It’s an impressive achievement and a real testament to Leonard’s ability to juggle school, work, and elite sport.
Well done, Lenny, we’re so proud of you!

Recruitment for 2026 Has Begun!
As we look ahead, I’m excited to be stepping into my very first recruitment season with LEA! We’ve officially started visiting careers expos at schools across Perth to talk about our traineeships to young students. A big thank you to the schools we’ve already had the chance to connect with, it’s been fantastic meeting students and staff who are eager to learn more about what we do. I’m really looking forward to many more school visits over the coming months as we continue to support the next generation of trainees.
