Lifeguard Training
A big shout out to our NSW trainees who recently took part in Lifeguard Training to enhance their skills and workplace knowledge. Lifeguards play a crucial role in ensuring safety and supervision in aquatic environments, and we are so pleased with our extraordinary trainees and their continued dedication.

LEA Social Day
During the April School Holidays, all of our NSW Trainees came together for not one, but two exciting LEA Social Day’s, and what better way to bond than with a few action packed games of Laser Tag!
It was a fantastic time, full of laughs, teamwork, and a bit of friendly competition. A great way to connect, build friendships outside of work and reward our trainees for all their hard work.
We can’t wait for the next one!

Trainee Spotlight: Ethan Houghton
Ethan Houghton, a 2025 trainee from Casula, was nominated by his teacher to attend the UNSW Leadership Program.
This program focused on developing effective communication skills, identifying personal strengths and values, and learning how to apply these qualities in leadership roles. It also encouraged participants to set meaningful goals to positively impact their schools and communities.
Ethan described the experience as incredibly rewarding and expressed his gratitude for being selected. The program was facilitated by current UNSW students, along with a stand up comedian named Jo, who brought energy and insight while teaching valuable leadership and communication skills.
Overall, Ethan found the program to be an inspiring opportunity, filled with engaging activities and lessons that he and his peers might not have otherwise encountered.

Newcastle End of Season
What a season we have had! Newcastle welcomed 6 new trainees into the mix and what a splash they made! Rhys, Billy, Paterson, Grace, Grace and Lily joined our 4 existing trainees Harrison, Taj, Teejay and Charlie to deliver Lifeguarding, Learn To Swim, Reception, Kiosk and Slide support!
They worked side by side with staff to service over 24,000 rides on the slide rides, 54 school carnivals held across our 5 inland pools, thousands of patrons on our giant inflatables and looked after thousands of families!
We cannot wait to see their smiling faces return and learn in August with another group of trainees to join us in September and see us help Harrison, Taj, Teejay and Charlie complete their Cert II! Well done to you all.
