NSW Updates
It’s been a busy and rewarding first semester across New South Wales, with our SBAT trainees continuing to achieve amazing things both in and out of the workplace. From welcoming new trainees into the program, to celebrating completions, award nominations and new training opportunities, there has been plenty happening across all regions.
Throughout the semester, our trainees have continued developing their skills, building confidence and gaining valuable hands-on industry experience while balancing school, study and work commitments. It has been fantastic to see the growth, resilience and teamwork shown across every site.
We are incredibly proud of everything our trainees have accomplished so far in 2026 and are excited to share some highlights below!

Trainee Spotlight: Lane Cove Swimathon Trainee Involvement
The North Region recently came together for the incredible BlueFit Waves of Change event, with several of our trainees proudly participating and supporting the cause from swimming laps to lifeguarding to face painting.
A huge shoutout goes to Sophia, Evie, and Rohnan, who represented the LEA team in the swimming challenge alongside their coworkers. We were also proud to see our NSW State Manager, Kate, take part as a team leader in the swimming event, demonstrating her support and commitment to the community initiative.
In addition, Emily, one of our Youth Trainees from Lane Cove, played a vital role throughout the day by running and managing the food, drink, and activity stalls. Her enthusiasm and dedication helped ensure the event ran smoothly and created a fantastic experience for everyone involved.

We love seeing our team members give back to their local communities and get involved in meaningful causes. It’s safe to say that without the support, energy, and contribution of the LEA/BlueFit team as well as our community, the event would not have been the same.

The year has gotten off to an incredible start in our Camden region. Our trainees have not only expanded their expertise and grown within their core roles and sites, but also dedicated time to support the Camden War Memorial Pool. We are truly grateful to everyone who contributed during this fantastic season.
We want to extend another sincere thank you to all who assisted throughout the demanding summer season. Your efforts are deeply appreciated, and it is wonderful to see that same dedication carried through as we transition into the cooler months. Another huge congratulations to all of the past trainees who have recently completed their traineeship. HUGE congratulations on this big accomplishment.
Also, wishing all of the Year 12 trainees the best of luck for their HSC, you will smash it, and for our Year 11 trainees, as they continue throughout their year exam period, we are sure you will all do fantastically well!
