First Nations & Workshops

Happy NAIDOC Week! This event holds immense significance in Australia and First Nations communities. Throughout 2- 9th July, we come together to honour and educate ourselves about the rich history, culture, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

NAIDOC Week is a time to celebrate and recognise the contributions of First Nations Australians to our society and country. It provides a platform for sharing their stories and histories, fostering understanding and appreciation. Each year, a theme is carefully chosen to reflect the pressing issues within Indigenous Australian culture.

This year’s theme, “For Our Elders: Wisdom, Resilience, and Legacy,” is a heartfelt tribute to the incredible contributions they make to our Indigenous communities. This year it’s about expressing gratitude for their knowledge, stories, and cultural heritage, passed down through generations.

Take action this year and join our LEA NAIDOC Week workshop! This is your chance to take the time to educate yourself about Indigenous history, traditions, and contributions. As well as engage yourself in a cultural experience!

Join us on Thursday 6th July, See your emails for more information!
