VIC Updates

At the term break Victorian SBATs came together to enjoy a social gathering at BOUNCE. This was an opportunity for the trainees to meet face to face and reconnect again. This group does a great job of remaining in contact online, but coming together and having a BOUNCE challenge was just what was needed. After we all built up a sweat, we enjoyed something to eat nearby and got to enjoy social banter and some work talk. We managed to set some aspirations for the term ahead and get excited about the roles being fulfilled, and the skills being developed. Well done VIC Trainees. The future is bright!

Focus SBAT of the Month for Vic – Lilly Marston from Jubilee

1. What do you like to do in your spare time ?

In my spare time, I love hanging out with my friends. This photo is of my deb last year in July.

2. Who in your life would be your role model- you look up to? Why?

My role model is my grandma, she has taught us how to work hard and to always finish what you start even if it is difficult.

3. If out and about, what's your favourite cuisine to eat?

I love Thai food, especially pad thai, it is the best!

4. Favourite movie and why?

I love Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban, it is my comfort movie.

The VIC SBATs have shown great growth over the past term, and some have started challenging themselves more than they even imagined. Examples are: Aidan at Melton has discovered that he is great with the younger children and levels. He has a great way with the little ones and can communicate with them well. Bridget at Sandringham is shadowing in Duty Manager capacity in preparation for the future, as she has adapted to the centre and responsibilities very well, and her leadership team has identified her possibilities. Alicia at Bayfit has enjoyed her SBAT so much that she has driven forward in her working hours to double the average at this time in the traineeship.

The Victorian team is definitely shining the way we knew they could!
