Western Australia – A Semester to Celebrate
The second half of the year has been an exciting and busy time for our WA trainees. With new faces, major milestones, and plenty of growth across the program, there’s so much to celebrate. From finishing traineeships to welcoming our newest cohort, Semester 2 has been full of energy and achievements.
Western Australia Training Awards Success
Congratulations to Lenny Golding, who made it through as one of only four finalists in the 2025 WA Training Awards for the School-Based Apprentice category. This marks the third year in a row a WA trainee has reached the finals, reflecting the strength and quality of our program.


Welcoming New Belmont Trainees
Our new Belmont trainees have kicked off their Swim School course with enthusiasm and are already making a great impact on the team. They are ready to step into action for the busy summer months!
2024 Cohort – Nearing the Finish Line
The 2024 trainees are now on the home stretch and preparing to transition fully into the workplace. A special congratulations to Mikaela, who has completed all her online work and surpassed her required hours, what a fantastic achievement!
Program Growth in Western Australia
Next year, The Pavillion, WACA ground will join our trainee program with four new students, creating even more opportunities for young people to develop and thrive.
Farewell and New Beginnings
We say goodbye to WA Consultant Louise, a fantastic mentor to the 2025 cohort, and wish her the best in her new role. A new WA Consultant will soon bring energy, leadership, and fresh opportunities to the program. Western Australia… get ready for an exciting new chapter!

Lily Hawgood-Watson – Belmont Oasis
We are thrilled to recognise Lily Hawgood-Watson as the WA LEA School-Based Trainee of the Year. From the very beginning, Lily has demonstrated maturity, dedication, and a genuine heart, standing out as a young leader in our program.
Making a Difference with Preschool Students
Lily has a natural gift for connecting with young swimmers. She creates a joyful, engaging, and safe learning environment in every lesson. Her warmth and communication make her sessions a highlight of the week for many families.
